After a busy day at the office, there is nothing nicer than slipping off your shoes straight into a toasty pair of slippers. The temperature now dips in the evening so you want to keep your tootsies warm with some cosy slippers. There is nothing worse than having cold feet and not keeping them toasty lowers your whole body temperature. Hygge in the home states how important it is to be warm and comfortable when at home. I think they have a point and there is a great pleasure and relaxation at the end of the day to be warm and comfortable in your favourite comfy soles.
Who knew there were so many different slipper choices on the market. There is a slipper to suit every individual so whatever you prefer, you are certain to find one to suit your needs.
Personally, my favourite would be between two options, the toasty sheepskin or the knitted slipper sock. Even narrowing it down to those two includes a decision on colour brand and style.
Best for longevity:
The ugg sheepskin slipper offers a fantastic sturdy sole so if you have wooden floors or feel the cold, then these are perfect. They come in a range of colours but the traditional tan is a favourite of mine. They keep your feet super snug and the rubber sole feels very supportive. The last pair I’ve had for over two years now and they are still going strong.
Best for the hot footer:
This new ugg design is a mixture of a fluffy slipper and a sandal. They are perfect if you suffer from hot feet but don’t want to be barefooted.
The knitted option:
Quite a few brands offer a knitted slipper sock and they even make them for children too. They are super soft and very cosy. If you prefer not to have a rigid sole then these are perfect. They come in some lovely styles and colours, my only gripe is that they aren’t very hard-wearing. They are very competitive in price so if you only get one winter out of them then at least they don’t break the bank.
The quirky slippers:
These super cute designs from Not on the High Street are reminiscent of some Scooby Doo slippers I loved as a child. They are very well made and don’t compromise on style. Perfect for the nostalgic lover or pet enthusiast.
The knitted boot:
Again another choice of slipper in toasty knitted wool. There’s a choice of colour and perfect for keeping your feet toasty and warm. I like that these can be customised and I can imagine that these will keep your feet feeling super toasty.
Perfect For the super stylish:
These White Company slippers are the epitome of style. They are beautifully made and remind me of mules, they will, however, keep your feet lovely and snug with faux fur lining and sumptuous velour fabric and the sweet little bow just oozes style.
For the indecisive:
If all this choice is just too much for you and you can’t decide between a sock or a slipper then look no further. These lovely Pom Pom slippers from joules are super soft as well as stylish. They aren’t structured like slippers but have a reinforced sole, unlike slipper socks.
Onechicmom hopes that this selection has given you food for thought. Hopefully, you will find the perfect slipper to keep you toasty right through the winter months
